basic information
Currently, this tool is widely used for deep hole drilling. It is utilized in various industries such as steel, metal, heavy electrical machinery, shipbuilding, automotive, and molding extrusion, and is characterized by its very wide adaptability, ranging from relatively small diameters (Φ8 and above) to large diameters (up to Φ500). The BTA method of machining uses a cylindrical boring bar with a tool attached to its tip, and the cutting oil allows chips to be expelled backward through the boring bar, enabling drilling of holes with a diameter more than 100 times the hole size.

Applications/Examples of results
BTA tools are classified into the following three types: 1) Solid Boring Heads Used for machining solid holes, available in single-blade specifications (standard solid) and multi-blade specifications (EB type, EJ type, EJB type). 2) Trepanning Boring Heads A tool head used for machining larger diameter holes with a smaller cutting width, performing core drilling. The chips are divided into three parts. 3) Counter Boring Heads Mainly used for finishing operations, these tools are used to enlarge pilot holes.

What is "BTA"? It is a question we are always asked when we mention our company name. BTA stands for "Boring & Trepanning Association." The BTA method is one of the cutting processes for creating deep holes in metal, and due to its structure, it excels in chip removal, rigidity, and productivity. As a result, it can perform high-precision deep hole machining at high speeds, and it features an excellent finish. Our company was established in 1959 with the aim of selling BTA deep hole drilling machines and tools. Since then, we have opened new factories, starting with the Kamata factory in Tokyo, to carry out BTA deep hole drilling, followed by the Sagamihara factory and the Kakogawa factory (which later moved to the Akashi factory). Additionally, we began manufacturing BTA deep hole drilling machines and tools at the Kazo factory, and our company has always been a pioneer in the BTA method.
