In a double-tube heat exchanger, hot water and air are flowed in countercurrent, parallel flow, laminar flow, turbulent flow, and other different conditions in the annular section between the inner tube and the inner and outer tubes. The phenomena of heat transfer, thermal conduction, and heat flux are captured numerically to aid theoretical understanding.
