Its thermal conductivity is approximately 90W due to the inclusion of aluminum nitride, and it has excellent machinability as a composite material with BN. While it is easy to machine, its high strength places this product in the relatively difficult-to-machine category among machinable ceramics. Since it is only available through machining from plate material, there are shapes that cannot be processed.
