Fiber optic proximity switch
The optical fiber-type sensor that has been commercialized this time belongs to the category of optical passive sensors among optical fiber-type sensors. The features of this sensor include the characteristics common to general optical fiber-type sensors, such as resistance to electromagnetic noise, no need for power supply equipment, electrical insulation, and inherent explosion-proof properties, along with the advantage of being able to detect light in a simple manner. Furthermore, the product incorporates the design and manufacturing know-how of Shinko Corporation, which has been honed over more than 10 years in the optical communication industry.

basic information
This is a fiber optic type proximity switch. The switching principle is based on the magnetic Faraday effect, where the polarization plane of light rotates due to the influence of a magnetic field. Since there are no moving parts in the sensor body, it is a highly reliable product. By placing multiple switches along the fiber optic line, long-distance open/close (proximity) monitoring can be performed. The product is designed to withstand outdoor use with waterproof and dustproof measures in place. (This product was developed through technical cooperation between Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc. and Hitachi Cable, Ltd.)

Our company is a manufacturer of oxide single crystals. In particular, we specialize in the following products: 1. Sapphire (α-Al2O3) 2. SrTiO3 3. Rutile (single crystal of TiO2). Although we are a crystal manufacturer, we also perform a full range of processing, including cutting, grinding, and polishing. Having handled crystals for over 70 years since our founding, we possess extensive knowledge and experience, especially regarding sapphire. Recently, we have also been mass-producing sapphire crystals larger than 300mm, allowing us to accommodate large-shaped products and mass production. We are a small company with about 170 employees, but please feel free to contact us if there is anything we can assist you with.
