3rd SPEXA International Space Business Expo

What is SPEXA - International Space Business Exhibition? SPEXA is an exhibition that gathers everything related to space business. As the importance of space development is increasing with the involvement of both the public and private sectors, we will hold an exhibition that brings together all aspects of space business. Concurrent Japan Co., Ltd. will also exhibit at SPEXA this year. Based on the Concurrent Real-Time RedHawk Linux OS, the HILS middleware using SIMulationWorkbench (SIMWB) will achieve a 1ms control loop as a test bench for aerospace vehicles such as rockets, missiles, satellites, and drones. By assigning processes to CPU cores and shielding interrupts, we minimize jitter in the control cycle and make worst-case latency predictable.

【New Catalog Release】Don't stop the equipment! We have released an introductory catalog on 'Predictive Maintenance from the Basics'.

Discovering abnormalities in production equipment "before it stops" — A new catalog that allows you to learn the concept of predictive maintenance from the basics, titled "Learning Predictive Maintenance from the Ground Up," has been released. This introductory material responds to voices from the manufacturing field, such as "I don't know where to start" and "Implementing IoT is difficult." In this document, we cover: - The benefits of implementing predictive maintenance - What are the specific methods of predictive maintenance? (Comparison of current/vibration/sound/AE/particles in oil/big data) - Four key checkpoints for selection - Recommended lineup for each method Examples of utilizing IoT gateways and remote monitoring systems We have summarized the concepts of equipment maintenance in the DX era in an easy-to-understand manner. ▼ You can download the catalog from here.

strong-coupling-helical-main.jpg

We have published a CAE case study titled "Strongly Coupled CAE Case Study Using DEFORM | Verifying Analysis Accuracy and Application Judgment in Helical Gear Forging."

The advanced feature of the CAE software "DEFORM," known as "strongly coupled analysis," is a method that allows multiple physical phenomena to interfere in real-time. However, in practice, the key consideration is whether the accuracy gained justifies the increase in computation time. In this article, we conducted a comparative verification of strongly coupled and weakly coupled analyses using the forging of helical gears as a subject. We visualized the differences in analysis results from three perspectives: "load," "contact pressure," and "stress." For more details, please refer to the related links.

It is a CAE software that can analyze various changes due to processing, such as the material flow of metals and the stress state of molds in metal processing, including forging and plate forging.

Schrödinger, Inc. will exhibit and present at the 145th Annual Meeting of the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. Formulation research is one of the important processes in drug development, but in recent years, there has been a stronger demand for high efficiency and cost reduction. In this context, recent advancements in computers and molecular simulation technology have made it possible to predict physical properties, which was previously difficult to achieve in practice. In particular, our company is actively engaged in the development of software for formulation research as a leading company in molecular simulation software. 【Joint Symposium Date and Location】 March 27 (Thursday) 17:17 - 17:47 Venue: Room 4 (Fukuoka International Congress Center, 201 [2F]) Title: DX of Formulation Research Using Molecular Simulation and Machine Learning 【Exhibition Booth】 No.: 5F B-22 We look forward to your visit.

Schrödinger, Inc. will be presenting and exhibiting at the 85th Autumn Meeting of the Japan Society of Applied Physics from September 16 (Monday) to September 20 (Friday). 【Presentation】 Date and Time: September 18 (Wednesday) 13:30 - 13:45 Title: "Exploration of New Titanium Nitride Structures Using Local Formal Charge" Presenter: Yuta Aoki, Schrödinger, Inc. Location: Niigata City, Toki Messe 2F A24 Keywords: oxynitride, semiconductor, photocatalyst We proposed a new titanium nitride with an optimal band structure for visible light-responsive photocatalysts for water splitting. To screen stable structures from a large number of candidate structures, we proposed a method to calculate the local formal charge of Ti atoms from local structures, which was used to narrow down the subjects for first-principles calculations. The resulting structure was found to have its valence band edge raised by over 1 eV compared to TiO2, indicating a band structure suitable for visible light water splitting. 【Booth】K-13

June 16 (Thursday) Online Lecture @ GSENN2022, Denmark

Our senior scientist, Mr. Hinizaki, will give an invited lecture online at GSENN2022, held in Copenhagen, Denmark, titled "Classification of Nanostructured Materials and Extension of it to the Fractal Structures." He will propose a method for classifying complex nanostructures based on the dimensions of their substructures and extend the concept to materials with more complex fractal dimensions, such as gels. He will also discuss the modeling of complex systems for molecular dynamics using Schrödinger's Materials Science Suites, providing examples of substructures with different dimensions.

High efficiency and cost performance! An active learning workflow that utilizes the synergy of physics-based simulations and machine learning for predicting optoelectronic properties.
