Collecting copy paper! Creating original recycled paper from the university and visualizing recycling.
Here is an example of initiatives from the university's environmental committee.
As we promote paper management, the university uses a large amount of copy paper. However, there was a challenge regarding the unclear fate of this paper after disposal, and we wanted to address this issue.
Students advocated to the university administration to promote the collection of copy paper generated on campus, part of which was recycled to create original university recycled paper, making the recycling process visible.
We produced original paper bags from the recycled copy paper and used them for materials during the new students' orientation. Additionally, as part of club activities, we conducted a tour of the manufacturing process for the original recycled paper.
