New Tool for Perovskite Solar Cell Development: GaAs-Equipped Reference Cell

Calibration of reference solar cells using the solar simulator method. Reference cells with GaAs that have similar spectral sensitivity characteristics and high stability.

GaAs-type (III-V compound semiconductor) cells have spectral sensitivity characteristics that are much more similar to perovskite-type cells compared to conventional Si-type cells, and they also excel in stability. GaAs-type cells show significantly better spectral mismatch when compared to measurements using the combination of the commonly used "Si-type cell" and the colored glass filter KG-5 as a reference for perovskite-type cells. ReRa Solutions in the Netherlands is one of the few companies manufacturing high-quality GaAs-type reference solar cells, and we have established a system to provide stable supply and technical support within Japan, leveraging our know-how in the manufacturing and sales of our own reference solar cells. Our reference solar cells also comply with the standards of the WPVS (World Photovoltaic Scale) and the requirements of IEC 904-2. Additionally, cell calibration is conducted at the Radboud University Nijmegen PV Measurement Facility and is traceable to the NREL in the United States.

Disaster emergency power supply "FECORAGE Cart" featuring a safe lithium-ion battery with iron oxide ■Differences from previous portable disaster power supplies… Previous portable disaster power supplies were designed for use in emergencies, which meant they were mostly stored in warehouses during normal times. As a result, they often cannot be used immediately in emergencies because they are not charged. ■Simultaneous charging capability For tablets, it can charge up to 40 devices simultaneously. Each set can charge a maximum of 20 devices at the same time. By charging from the battery system built into the FECORAGE Cart, it can be used even in places without AC power or during power outages! In school education settings, break time equals charging time, leading to a sudden increase in power consumption during breaks. This can result in higher electricity contract costs. The FECORAGE Cart helps reduce electricity costs by charging its built-in battery during cheaper nighttime electricity rates. In the event of a disaster, AC power can be accessed from the service outlet on the FECORAGE Cart (up to 400W).
