[Mercury Case Study] Distributed Printing
The educational institution enables distributed printing by connecting multiple printers! Contributing to cost reduction.
This is an introduction to a case study of the software "Mercury" for print servers, which converts AFP/IPDS print data into common formats such as PDF, PCL, and Postscript. In an educational institution, this software is connected to 2 monochrome multifunction printers and 8 color multifunction printers, enabling distributed printing. Previously, printed materials were distributed to each necessary department after printing, but now it is possible to print directly on office printers installed in each department, reducing delivery costs and improving the real-time distribution to the user departments. Additionally, by converting forms to PDF and automatically sorting them into folders by user department/form type, they can be referenced on PC screens, achieving significant reductions in paper and storage costs. [Case Study] ■ Educational Institution ■ Connected Printers: Monochrome Multifunction Printers, Color Multifunction Printers ■ Printer Speed: Monochrome Multifunction Printer 95 pages/min, Color Multifunction Printer 25 pages/min ■ Number of Printers: 2 Monochrome Multifunction Printers, 8 Color Multifunction Printers ■ Other Requirements: Convert forms to PDF and automatically sort them into folders by user department/form type *For more details, please feel free to contact us.
