I don't know how to choose a food waste processor! I don't know the amount of food waste generated in a day! Here are some reference examples for such situations.
Dry type, compost type, and incineration type food waste processors need to be selected based on the amount of food waste to be processed.
If you know the daily amount of food waste, you can use that figure as a reference for selection. However, if you do not know it right away, you can use the following guideline figures for selection.
- In cafeterias and school lunch centers, the amount is 80g per meal (40g for pre-processing and 40g for post-meal).
- In care facilities and hospitals, the amount is 100g per meal (50g for pre-processing and 50g for post-meal).
For example, in a hospital cafeteria with 80 beds (serving three meals a day), the calculation would be:
80g * 80 beds = 6400g, and 6400g * 3 meals = 19200g, which is approximately 20kg. Therefore, the selections would be:
Dry type: PZ-20
Compost type: NGS-20
Incineration type: ED-20NX (with two days off per week).
These figures are merely guidelines, so for more accurate selection, please measure based on busy periods when the amount of food waste is higher.
