A measuring instrument that is installed perpendicular to sunlight using a solar tracking device and measures direct solar radiation (W/m²). The LPPYRHE16 has a field of view of 5° and an inclination angle of 1°, in accordance with ISO 9060:2018 and WMO standards. Its operating principle is based on a passive type thermopile sensor. The sensing surface of the thermopile is coated with matte black paint to ensure that the direct solar radiation sensor is not selective to different wavelengths. The spectral range of the direct solar radiation sensor is determined by a quartz window that protects the sensor from dust and moisture. Thanks to the special quartz, non-selective measurements across a spectral range of 200nm to 4000nm are possible. The sensor used achieves a response time faster than what is required for class B direct solar radiation sensors by ISO 9060:2018. Using a silicon photodiode sensor with a measurement wavelength of 400 to 1100 nm, the total solar radiation (W/m²) is measured. Precision All-Day Solar Radiation Meter

This is a solar radiation meter classified as a Secondary Standard according to ISO 9060. It is a high-precision solar radiation meter designed for precise measurements, such as investigations into global warming.

This device measures the total solar radiation entering from the sky and is a high-precision all-weather solarimeter that complies with the Secondary Standard as defined by ISO 9060. The sensing element uses a thermopile with uniform spectral sensitivity across the entire wavelength range of solar radiation and stable performance. The MS-802 model features a new thermopile that has approximately doubled the response speed compared to the previous model (MS-801), and the temperature characteristics have been improved by about 40% through changes in the thermal structure. Additionally, the sensing surface is protected from variations in factors other than solar radiation (such as wind) by being covered with a double dome. The MS-802F has a fan installed at the bottom of the sensing surface holder, which blows air to the outside of the glass dome, preventing the accumulation of frost, snow, dust, and other debris.

Solar Ace

It is a pyranometer of Second Class as specified by IISO9060.

The sensing part uses a special film with excellent temperature characteristics and mechanical properties as a substrate, and is equipped with a thermopile that has multiple contacts to detect the temperature difference between the center of the sensing part and the diameter direction. The outer circumference of the sensing part is bonded to a metal holder with an appropriate thermal capacity, which responds to changes in solar radiation intensity, resulting in a temperature difference between the center of the sensing part and the diameter direction. The solar radiation amount is determined by measuring the direct current voltage proportional to that temperature difference. The sensing part has no wavelength dependence and is coated with a special black paint that has good absorption properties.

You can take the certification exam at the Japan Meteorological Agency's Meteorological Instrument Calibration Center.
