"High-frequency hardening" utilizes high-frequency induction heating to rapidly heat the surface of the workpiece to the hardening temperature, followed by rapid cooling, creating a hardened layer on the surface that improves wear resistance and enhances mechanical properties. Localized heating allows for relatively easy selection of the depth of the hardened layer based on frequency. Direct heating results in good thermal efficiency and shorter working times.
