[Example] Centerline and longitudinal survey of high-voltage transmission lines

Introducing the use of network-type RTK in the centerline and longitudinal surveying of high-voltage transmission lines.

We would like to introduce a case study by Haidex Co., Ltd. and Mr. Wajima regarding "centerline and longitudinal surveying of high-voltage transmission lines" utilizing network RTK. In this case, due to the harsh mountainous conditions during the snowfall season, we primarily used network RTK, and in locations where mobile phone communication was not possible or where satellite data was difficult to capture, we also employed a total station. Furthermore, the network RTK was used for multiple sets of observations through single-point observation methods, with a horizontal limit of 2 cm based on the differences between sets, and the average value was adopted. The observation work was carried out relatively smoothly. Additionally, given the conditions of snow accumulation and mountainous terrain, what would have taken approximately 10 person-days (2 people for 5 days) using only a total station was completed in about half the time. 【Solution】 - Utilized network RTK for the centerline and longitudinal surveying of approximately 20 km of high-voltage transmission lines. - Combined the use of network RTK as the main method with a total station. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Example] Public Sewer Project Plan

Utilizing network-type RTK in the public sewer system project plan!

The Imperial Construction Consultant Co., Ltd. will introduce a case study utilizing network-type RTK in the "Public Sewer Project Planning." In this project, the elevation of road intersections is a crucial keyword, so several benchmark points were set within the area using third-class leveling. Each day, the existing benchmark points were used as starting and closing points in the morning and afternoon, respectively, to correct the average differential values to the network-type RTK observation values. This ensured the necessary accuracy for the project and allowed for the determination of appropriate elevations. Additionally, since the terrain gradient within the area is important for the overall sewer project planning, the company conducts three-dimensional measurements using network-type RTK at all road intersection centers, gradient change points, and planar change points, and reflects the results in the sewer piping plan. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

[Example] Topographic survey and benchmark survey along the coastline.

Achieve low costs with short-term work! Utilize network-based RTK method!

The limited company Kindai Surveying will introduce a case study utilizing network-based RTK in "topographic surveying and benchmark surveying along the coastline." In this topographic and benchmark surveying at the coast, it was necessary to establish benchmarks both inside the levee and on the seaside. Due to the height of the breakwater, visibility was impossible with a total station, so we utilized the network-based RTK method. Particularly, the use at the coast allowed for good overhead visibility, enabling observations without much concern for satellite conditions. 【Scope of Work】 ■ Topographic Surveying and Benchmark Surveying - 18 benchmark points, area of 2.0 ha, length of 1.2 km *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Example] Construction of a Surveying Work Manual

Utilizing the single-point observation method of network RTK-GPS surveying in the field of geodetic surveying as public surveying!

We would like to introduce a case study by the City of Tondabayashi, Osaka Prefecture (in cooperation with Asahi Koyo Co., Ltd.) regarding the "Construction of a Surveying Work Manual," utilizing reference points (star measurement points) through network-type RTK single-point observation. To conduct third and fourth-class reference point surveys, which form the backbone of construction surveying, as public surveys, it is necessary to use higher-level national reference points or public reference points as known points. However, in areas where the density is not sufficiently developed for efficient use, there can be an excessive financial burden. As a result, these surveying works may not be applied to the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan as public surveys, and the surveying results have rarely been utilized beyond the specific construction projects. 【Solution】 - Developed a single-point observation method using network-type RTK-GPS in collaboration with Asahi Koyo Co., Ltd. in the field of geodetic surveying. - Received advice from the Geospatial Information Authority of Japan based on the application under Article 16 of the Public Survey Work Regulations. - Utilized the single-point observation method of network-type RTK-GPS surveying as public surveying in the field of geodetic surveying. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
