What is the difference between Teflon and fluoropolymer?

I will explain in detail the differences between Teflon and fluoropolymer, which are often confused.

■Difference Between Teflon and Fluoropolymer Teflon is a trademark of Chemours and is a brand name for fluoropolymers. Fluoropolymers include various types such as PTFE, FEP, PFA, and ETFE, but Teflon is a trademark for some of these. Teflon is a registered trademark of DuPont, represented by the 'R mark', while Chemours uses the 'TM mark'. Teflon-coated frying pans have popularized the term "Teflon coating" in society. Nowadays, the name Teflon is more well-known than the term fluoropolymer. Other chemical manufacturers also produce fluoropolymers, which are marketed under different product names. Industrial Teflon processing can be done at factories that have entered into licensing agreements with Chemours (DuPont). Yoshida SKT signed a contract with DuPont in January 1968 to become a Licensed Industrial Applicator (designated factory for industrial coatings).

Teratec Construction Report: Step Plate

Solving problems caused by sinking and cavities! Case study of cavity filling in footings by Teratech.

We would like to introduce a case where the problems of sinking and voids under bridge approach slabs were resolved using the Teratec method. The "Teratec method" is a technique that fills the "voids" under bridge approach slabs caused by ground subsidence or groundwater, allowing for the restoration of road functionality to a healthy state in a short period of time. 【Problems Encountered】 On a national highway in Ibaraki Prefecture, voids had developed under the approach slabs due to the Great East Japan Earthquake. The dimensions of the approach slab were 8m x 8m, with a maximum void thickness of about 10cm. Restoration was necessary for safety reasons. 【Reasons for Choosing Teratec】 - Short construction period, which reduces stress for road users due to traffic congestion. - The lightweight materials help suppress re-sinking. 【Feedback After Construction】 Traffic regulations allowed for alternating one-lane traffic, and the construction was completed in one day during daylight hours. The construction vehicle used was a 4-ton truck (L=5.6m). Compared to conventional methods, this was a small-scale project that was completed quickly. *For more details, please visit the external link page or feel free to contact us. https://teretek.jp/plus/case/bridge Toll-free number: 0120-873-835

We can handle everything from rubber vulcanization processing to rubber processing from metal.

We can handle everything from rubber vulcanization processing to rubber processing from metal. Due to the characteristics of the materials, we will do our best to meet your requirements for tolerances and distortions.

At Takimoto Giken Kogyo Co., Ltd., we can handle everything from rubber curing processing to processing rubber from metal. In the case of curing processing, it takes time for delivery. We cannot accommodate short delivery times. For industrial machinery related to the automotive sector, there are various shapes of chuck jaws depending on the design, but we can get as close as possible to your requirements through machining. Due to the nature of rubber, tolerances cannot be guaranteed. For simple plate processing (sheet material) using general-purpose milling (Makino), we process it with general-purpose machines that do not require the effort of creating a program. The "inspection method" involves checking the received drawings with a check mark, and for areas with tolerances, we will record the actual measured values. The world of rubber materials differs from metal, mainly resulting in ambiguous dimensional tolerances in the tolerance areas, leading to a temperature difference with manufacturers handling metal processed products. We have finally come this far to meet the needs of our users. I feel this is due to the guidance of all of you. We look forward to your continued support. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Machining of heat-resistant plastic resin, PEEK!

We will accommodate machining of heat-resistant plastic resin, PEEK. Due to the properties of the material, we will strive to meet your requests regarding tolerances and distortions as closely as possible.

At Takimoto Giken Kogyo Co., Ltd., we handle machining of heat-resistant plastic resin, PEEK, from material processing to all machining processes. For industrial machinery related to the automotive sector, insulators often require thin-walled machining, which can be challenging, and materials that can withstand electrolytes are selected. PEEK is one of the super engineering plastics and is often used when current materials do not meet satisfaction, mainly due to its high heat resistance and chemical resistance. However, because it is a high-performance material, the price is also quite high. Using machining (Mori Seiki) and NC lathe processing (Okuma), if there is a delay in clamping or positioning, we utilize both NC machines for processing. By maintaining a "rich inventory" of materials, we can respond even when material manufacturers are unable to ship. Interestingly, we strive to reduce the defect rate through inspections to address the often unnoticed difficulties in handling, ultimately meeting your requests. In recent years, while users have shown increased interest in plastic resins, there seems to be a gap in knowledge, and we will work to bridge that gap.
