[Case Study] Shipment Inspection System for Wholesaler (Chiba Sales Office)
Improve efficiency by inspecting products while simultaneously shipping and packing! Introducing case studies of system implementation.
We would like to introduce a case where we implemented "handheld terminals" at a wholesaler (Chiba Sales Office) and four other sales offices. We inspect the products from the picking instructions at each shelf and transport them to the shipping location, where centralized shipping inspections are conducted. The centralized shipping inspection line operates an average of three lines, with an average of 10,000 products shipped and packed per line per day. During busy periods or urgent shipments, we increase the number of lines for shipping and packing. [Case Study] ■ Challenges - Reducing waiting time until the line is free (for multiple inspected products) - Preventing omissions in inspected products ■ After Implementation - It became possible to review the burden on employees and the shift system - Reduction in working hours (time spent working until the line is free) - Personnel adjustments (from two-person systems to one-person systems, etc.) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
