SWIC is a material that is outside of JIS standards, but its availability is good.
The material used is "nickel-plated steel wire SWIC-F." It is a plated steel wire that has been pre-plated with a steel-based spring material.
Although "SWIC-F" itself is a material not conforming to JIS standards, the base spring material used is compliant with JIS standards, specifically "hard steel wire SW-B, SW-C" and "piano wire SWP-A, SWP-B."
"SWIC" has the characteristics of high electrical conductivity, rust resistance (comparable to SUS spring materials), and good solderability. Due to these properties, it is widely used as a material for battery terminals and battery springs.
This battery spring is processed using a multi-forming machine and handmade techniques. The heat treatment after forming is conducted at a low temperature of 200 to 250 degrees to maintain solderability.
If you have any issues with springs or forming, please feel free to consult us. Our technical staff will respond carefully.
