516 Eriksen Coating Strength Tester (Manual)
This is a testing machine for evaluating the resistance of coatings to cupping using methods such as the fixed distance method and the fracture distance method.
- This is a testing machine (cupping tester, cupping test device, Erichsen tester) for evaluating the cupping resistance of coatings. - The test specimen is fixed between the holding ring and the die, and the zero point is set where the tip of the punch contacts the test specimen. - The test is conducted by either pressing to a specified depth at a speed of 0.2±0.1mm per minute (constant distance method) or by pressing the punch until cracks or peeling of the coating are observed in the area being pressed (break distance method). - In the constant distance method, the cracking of the coating and peeling from the substrate are evaluated, while in the break distance method, the distance the punch is pressed is measured and evaluated as the Erichsen value. <Reference Standards> JIS-B7729, (K5400), K5600-5-2, Z2247, ISO-1520, 20482 【About Catalog Download】 Please request the catalog from the related links below or by contacting us. *For products without individual catalogs, please request the comprehensive catalog.
