We received a request to build a network that allows us to obtain real-time data directly from equipment, even from a distance, regarding the operational status and failure conditions of machinery that could only be confirmed directly at the processing site, in order to improve the overall productivity of the factory. In advancing the construction of a wireless LAN environment, the most important factor was the 'communication reliability' that minimizes network interruptions. After installing and testing the Silex "BR-400AN" and "BR-300AN," we were surprised to find that there were no communication interruptions during the testing period. The affordable price, along with the rich features, guarantees, and optional tools, also contributed to the decision to adopt these devices. The introduction of the "BR-400AN" allowed us to reduce the necessary LAN wiring to a minimum, and we found that the wireless channel design, which typically needs to be considered with standard access points, was almost unnecessary.
