"Thermiculite#866" is a sheet-like gasket primarily made of vermiculite, treated with special chemical agents and molded with an inorganic binder, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1000°C.
Since its composition consists entirely of inorganic materials, it does not generate reducing gases like glass seals.
In addition to its thermal stability, which can withstand thermal expansion differences and deformation due to stress between stack components during thermal cycling operations, the gasket material itself exhibits excellent chemical stability, allowing for long-term stable sealing.
