Infrared lighting ideal for transmission inspection of silicon wafers and similar materials.
As a characteristic of infrared light with a wavelength of 1100nm, it can pass through silicon materials. It also falls within the sensitivity range of CMOS cameras, allowing for transmission inspection without the need for expensive infrared-only cameras like InGaAs cameras. Please also consider the Infrared series and the Infrared3 series of long-wavelength infrared lighting.
What is infrared light?
We will introduce examples of circuit pattern inspection using infrared lighting. Infrared light has a longer wavelength than visible light (light visible to the human eye) and is not visible to the human eye. Compared to ultraviolet and visible light, infrared light has a very low scattering rate, resulting in a high transmission rate, allowing it to pass through liquids and inks. In particular, light with a wavelength of 1100nm has the characteristic of passing through silicon. Additionally, unlike halogen, the wavelength range is limited, so it does not affect photosensitive work.
