This research report presents the results of the user survey "IDC WW C-suite Sentiment Survey" conducted by IDC targeting executives of companies in the Asia Pacific region (hereinafter referred to as APJ), including Japan. It also compares the attitudes of corporate executives towards digital business between domestic companies and the overall APJ region. As digital technology continues to permeate, the awareness of corporate executives regarding digital business is increasing. The involvement of technology executives, such as CIOs, in business is also on the rise. Among them, technology executives like CIOs are increasingly expected to engage more in business. "In the era of 'digital first' and digital business, technology is the 'core business' for all companies. In this context, technology executives should engage directly with external environments such as customers and markets, and drive business on par with business units," stated Koji Yorito, Group Vice President and Chief Research Analyst at IDC Japan.

BCS Survey (Beyond-CS Survey / Customer Reconnection Survey)

Is customer satisfaction research insufficient? A new approach to addressing churned and dormant customers.

"Why did customers, who were supposed to be satisfied, leave?" The answer may lie among those who "said nothing." The "silent dropout" who leaves without expressing dissatisfaction. The BCS survey (Beyond-CS Survey) visualizes the "reasons for dropout" that traditional customer satisfaction surveys could not capture. It is a new research approach that collects the voices of dormant and departing customers to lead to improvements and reconnections.
