[Production Example] Model of the "World Heritage" Nirayama Reverberatory Furnace

Reproduction of fireproof bricks and the interior of a melting furnace! A case of creating a 1/5 scale polystyrene model.

We would like to introduce a case of creating a polystyrene model of the "World Heritage" Nirayama Reverberatory Furnace. A polystyrene model at a 1/5 scale (height 3.1m) of the "World Heritage" Nirayama Reverberatory Furnace (a nationally designated historic site) was produced. We also recreated the fireproof bricks and the interior of the melting furnace. The model was installed at an event (exhibition) during the 2016 World Foundry Conference and was donated to Izunokuni City. I was responsible for creating the design model for display / the 12 times model of G-SHOCK.

30 years since the release of the original G-SHOCK. A 12-fold model was planned for display at the "G-SHOCK SHOCK THE WORLD 2012" event held in New York. Initially, when we were contacted, we discussed a large glass case model, but I was relieved to find that the size was smaller than expected. However, it was still glass, so we carefully packaged the glass parts with tissue paper, craft paper, and bubble wrap.
