Active clamp type transistor
Optimal for driving inductive loads. Freewheeling diodes can be reduced!
A Zener diode is connected (built-in) between the collector and base of the transistor with a resistor, protecting the transistor from back electromotive force during motor and solenoid drive operations through active clamp operation. Additionally, because it has a built-in resistor, it allows for direct input from microcontrollers, and its compact surface-mount design contributes to the miniaturization of the set and a significant reduction in the number of components. Furthermore, with a rated current of 1.0A, it is also ideal for use as a driver.
