What is thermal recycling? ~Recycling by burning waste to recover heat~

A biomass boiler that accommodates various fuels such as RPF, RDF, wood chips, wood pellets, and construction waste! Thermal recycling!

Thermal recycling (heat recovery) refers to the process of incinerating waste materials such as plastic products and recovering and utilizing the heat energy generated during this process. As the environmental impact of plastic waste is becoming a concern, thermal recycling is gaining attention in Japan for its purpose of effectively utilizing energy resources. The waste that is incinerated mainly consists of general and industrial waste, such as waste plastics, paper scraps, and wood scraps, particularly those that are difficult to recycle through conventional plastic recycling methods or are hard to sort. The waste heat recovered through thermal recycling is used for various applications, including power generation within facilities, heating, hot water supply, and heated swimming pools. **Features** - Waste with foreign substances can also be reused. - Reduces the use of fossil fuels. - Contributes to the prolongation of landfills. - Can suppress the generation of methane gas. In line with the concept of thermal recycling, Ikros treats various waste materials, such as wood scraps and waste plastics, as solid fuel and handles biomass boilers that can utilize the generated heat energy for various purposes. *For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.*

[Basic Knowledge] About Sheet Material Recycling

Material recycling of sheets used once! Contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions.

Utilizing the temperature adjustment function, we have been producing a wide variety of sheets for many years. By combining the advantage of not needing to pelletize the raw materials with our unique large-scale Banbury mixer (kneader), we have made it possible to remold used tile carpets from office and store floors, which are sorted and crushed only at the substrate by our partner companies, back into the same product. This contributes to reducing CO2 emissions by decreasing waste disposal, landfill, and incineration. Additionally, we are also engaged in sheet molding to reuse plastic products that were previously discarded for different applications. While we mix materials using the Banbury mixer, this equipment can crush and knead materials other than hard materials like metals. As a practical example, we have mixed used rubber gaskets from refrigerators with the substrate of tile carpets to create sheets, transforming used products that were previously disposed of into new forms. Material recycling will become increasingly essential in the future. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Recycling service

Not only does it collect, transport, dispose of, and process, but it also contributes to overall cost reduction and image enhancement for the company!

We would like to introduce the "Recycling Business" conducted by Kawada Chemical Co., Ltd. At our intermediate processing facility, recyclable plastics are not disposed of as waste but can be reused. For example, existing polyethylene packaging materials are collected and transported by our company, then crushed and melted at the intermediate processing facility to be effectively utilized as recycled pellets, which are then used again as recycled products. This flow represents an ideal recycling process. There are various possibilities depending on the types of plastics, so please feel free to consult us. 【Recycling Process & Three Roles】 ■ Consumers separate and dispose of waste ■ Municipalities collect and sort waste ■ Businesses reprocess into new products *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Types of Recycling *Basic Knowledge Materials Available

Various methods have been put into practical use! Here are three methods of recycling.

Here are the types of recycling for waste plastics. "Material recycling," which regenerates into plastic raw materials or products; "chemical recycling," which regenerates into chemical raw materials; and "thermal recycling," which utilizes thermal energy for power generation or steam, or converts it into gas, oil, or solid fuel. The recycling of waste plastics has various methods that have been put into practical use due to advancements in technology, but they can be broadly categorized into the three types mentioned above. [Types] ■ Material Recycling - Civil engineering materials, agricultural materials, stationery, daily necessities ■ Chemical Recycling - Monomer/raw material production, blast furnace reducing agents, oil production, gasification ■ Thermal Recycling - Solid fuel production, cement raw material production, thermal energy power generation, waste power generation *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Material Recycling *Basic knowledge materials are being distributed.

Raw materials for processing or as materials for products! Waste from used products or generated during the production process, etc.

"Material recycling" refers primarily to the collection of waste from used products and production processes, processing it for easier use, and then converting it into raw materials or using it as materials for products. This technology was developed in the 1970s, and our company has been involved in recycling since its inception. Industrial waste plastics are suitable for recycling due to reasons such as "low contamination," "minimal foreign matter inclusion," "clear identification of resin types," and "stable and consistent output in terms of quantity." [Types] ■ Material Recycling ■ Chemical Recycling ■ Thermal Recycling *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.
