What is silicone? An explanation about silicone that you can’t ask now!

I will explain about "silicone," which is surprisingly not well-known despite seeming familiar!

"Silicone" generally refers to an organic silicon polymer material that has a skeleton formed by the bonding of silicon and oxygen (siloxane bond / -Si-O-Si-) with organic groups (methyl groups) attached to the side chains of silicon atoms. It is chemically inert, has a small change in viscosity with temperature, and is characterized by low surface tension. Compared to the C-C bonds of typical organic compounds, the Si-O bond energy is higher, and the internal rotational energy is nearly 0 KJ/mol, making the rotation of the main chain bonds easy. It possesses properties such as flexibility, heat resistance, cold resistance, low surface tension, and gas permeability. Organic silicon resins, polyorganosiloxanes, and polysiloxanes may also be collectively referred to. Low viscosity, high strength type silicone 'IS-CRN40'

Since a promoter is added to the hardener (catalyst) side, there is less thickening of the main agent due to storage, resulting in longer durability!

The "IS-CRN40" is a silicone rubber for molding that, despite being a high-hardness type, possesses low viscosity comparable to that of general-purpose types, making it highly effective for mixing, stirring, degassing, and pouring operations. The strength after curing is approximately nine times that of standard molding types (tensile strength). "IS-CRN25" is a highly flexible silicone rubber with a rubber strength of 25 degrees and an elongation rate of approximately 500%.
