Various types of rubber-based sponges, commonly known as rubber sponges, have been categorized by their applications, usage environments, and excellent performance (strength, waterproofing, heat resistance, chemical resistance, etc.).
NR series (Natural Rubber) Rubber Sponge
- Characteristics
Has the most rubber-like elasticity. Good mechanical strength and abrasion resistance. Weak against heat and ultraviolet rays.
- Main Applications
Various tires, footwear, hoses, belts, vibration-damping rubber, industrial gaskets, etc.
NBR series (Nitrile Rubber)
- Characteristics
Oil resistance is its greatest feature. Excellent gas permeability. Poor weather resistance and cold resistance.
- Main Applications
Oil seals, gaskets, packing, oil-resistant hoses, etc.
CR series (Chloroprene Rubber)
- Characteristics
Has average properties such as weather resistance, oil resistance, and heat resistance. Excellent flame retardancy.
- Main Applications
Wire insulation, automotive parts, belts and hoses, window frame rubber, adhesives, etc.
SR series (Silicone Rubber)
- Characteristics
High heat resistance, cold resistance, and weather resistance. Excellent electrical properties and non-stickiness. Physiologically safe material. Mechanical strength is inferior.
- Main Applications
Food-related, medical device-related packing, gaskets, industrial rolls, etc.
EPDM series (Ethylene Propylene Rubber)
- Characteristics
Excellent ozone resistance, weather resistance, chemical resistance, heat resistance, and cold resistance.
- Main Applications
Window frames, automotive parts, electrical wires, outdoor cushioning materials, and shock-absorbing rubber materials, etc.
