**Case Study of the Introduction of the Pallet Drop Prevention Device "Pallet Gardener" for Automated Warehouses** ■Project Name: Earthquake Resistance Construction for Metal Manufacturer's Automated Warehouse ■Location: Shizuoka Prefecture ■Construction Date: December 2015 ■Contractor: Cubic Shizuoka Co., Ltd. ■Countermeasure Details: Installation carried out by moving stored items without lowering them **Key Points and Overview of This Case Study** ■Short construction period ■No welding required → No fire hazards ■No drilling → Avoidance of foreign matter contamination The site has two types of pallet sizes to accommodate products (stored items) of different sizes. Therefore, due to areas where the pallets are overhanging and the shape of the racks, installation was done using standard types where possible and custom or irregular types where necessary. The construction period was completed in about four sessions, scheduled during a week when the warehouse was not in operation (only Saturdays were possible). ★ If earthquake measures are insufficient, the risk of operational shutdown during an emergency is always present.
