We would like to introduce a case study of the fixed bar rack from Gooriki Co., Ltd., which manufactures and sells racks and space-saving equipment. At Fukui Lumber Co., Ltd., single-sided and double-sided bar racks were installed inside the factory, and a single-sided bar rack was set up outdoors to store products made from cedar and cypress, ranging from 2 to 4 meters in length. To efficiently store within the limited installation space in the factory, the racks were laid out considering walls and columns to minimize dead space. At Oritone Kogei Co., Ltd., a steel shelf independent of the building was installed in connection with the existing stacked shelves. This increased the space available for placing work-in-progress items in the upper area of the warehouse, successfully enhancing storage capacity. With the increased space above, it became possible to store items that previously took up space.
