We received a consultation from a customer who had various manufacturers create prototypes, but the holes were not drilled straight, and there were burrs left in the holes, making them unusable. We received feedback stating, "The hole precision was high, and there were no burrs. The delivery time of one week is surprising." Typically, rubber products in such cases are produced using molds. However, for small quantities or during the prototype stage, the cost of expensive molds cannot be amortized. In the case of machining, the cutting tolerance usually results in a finish of ±0.2, and the production lead time is short, allowing for single-item production. Designers often want to use rubber at the design stage, but since rubber products require molds, they design without using rubber. However, there are cases where machining allows for precision, thus expanding the scope of development. CR rubber is a representative rubber with versatile performance. It can create three-dimensional R shapes by cutting. It is suitable for prototyping as it can be made even in small quantities.
Due to the transparent resin, machining may cause cloudiness. The machined surface from the pipe material can also regain transparency through chemical treatment.
PC is the only transparent material among general-purpose engineering plastics and boasts exceptional impact resistance. It is said to have impact resistance 200 times that of glass and 50 times that of acrylic. Additionally, it excels in dimensional stability, weather resistance, and insulation resistance, with a usable temperature range of approximately -100°C to about 140°C.
Urethane is poured as a liquid material, solidified, and then shaped through cutting processes. Molding and cutting processes are also possible for materials softer than hardness 90.
Urethane rubber is a type of rubber that excels in wear resistance and mechanical strength. It is cast into a certain size and then machined down. Additionally, urethane comes in various forms, from hard to soft, and can also be colored.
Pre-production prototypes can be made with silicone 70° material. Since pre-production prototypes are in small quantities, machining without molds is recommended.
It is silicone rubber known for its high heat resistance and hygiene. With a relatively hard 70° among silicones, it has a good hardness that is not too soft for machining. Please feel free to inquire about other hardness and colors.
PVC is suitable for machining, and subsequent bonding or welding processes are also good. We handle a lot of machining for both gray and transparent materials.
PVC, commonly seen in everyday gray vinyl, is an inexpensive material that is easy to process through bending, welding, and gluing, and is used in a wide range of fields. It has excellent chemical resistance and weather resistance, and its flame retardant properties help prevent the spread of fire. There is also transparent vinyl available. We also accept connections with commercially available PVC standard products, such as those used for plumbing.

POM takes advantage of its excellent durability and is used as an alternative to metal parts. It can also be used for gears, bearings, pulleys, and rollers that require fatigue resistance and wear resistance. It has strong properties against solvents and low water absorption, which provides high dimensional stability during processing, making it suitable for machining and welding.
The nylon was processed after being warped in the opposite direction as a warp prevention measure. The milling can be done on the entire surface, but caution is needed regarding warping when the area is large.
We handle MC nylon in blue from manufacturers such as Mitsubishi, Mitsuboshi, and Nack. Here, we have reinforced the screw holes by inserting an insert into the pilot hole. Care was taken in the manufacturing process to ensure that the three plates slide smoothly by aligning with the protrusions.
Polycarbonate, which has high impact resistance, is often subjected to machining. Items with many machined surfaces, such as caps, will remain cloudy unless polished.
Polycarbonate is the only transparent general-purpose engineering plastic. It also excels in weather resistance. By polishing the cut surface, transparency can be restored.
