Dramatically extending cylinder lifespan! We will introduce a case that significantly contributed to reducing defects and machine downtime, as well as improving cost rates.
We would like to introduce a case study of the 'KH Cylinder,' which combines high hardness of HRC68 with corrosion resistance comparable to stainless steel, resulting in an expected lifespan extension of several times that of conventional materials.
In this case, the customer was molding a resin with 40% glass fiber (GF40%), and the cylinder wore out in about a year. Due to unstable molding and an increase in defective products, the cost ratio worsened.
We proposed the KH Cylinder, which excels in high hardness and corrosion resistance, and upon its introduction, the lifespan of the cylinder was dramatically extended. This resulted in a reduction in defects and machine downtime, significantly contributing to the improvement of the cost ratio.
【Case Overview】
■Challenges and Background of the Customer
- The customer was molding a resin with 40% glass fiber, and the cylinder wore out in about a year.
- The instability in molding led to an increase in defective products, worsening the cost ratio.
■Solution
- Proposed the KH Cylinder, which excels in high hardness and corrosion resistance.
