On the other hand, shape optimization modifies the surface shape of the model, allowing for the evaluation of not only rigidity but also stress, making it beneficial for the detailed design of products. In shape optimization, you can set a "designable area" as a manufacturing constraint. By using this feature, you can limit shape changes to ensure that they do not extend beyond the specified designable area. Additionally, even if the initial shape already extends beyond the area, you can modify the shape to fit within the designated area.
