[Labor Accident Case] Hospitalization due to pouring waste liquid into a waste liquid tank filled with water.
A case of chlorine gas poisoning and chemical conjunctivitis occurred when waste liquid was placed into a waste liquid tank filled with water.
During the research process of spices, a victim placed waste liquid containing phosphoric chloride, which was used as a reagent, into a waste tank filled with water for fire prevention. This resulted in a reaction with the water in the tank, producing chlorine gas, leading to exposure. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance and was diagnosed with "chlorine gas poisoning and symptoms of chemical conjunctivitis," resulting in hospitalization. [Recommendation] ■ In addition to risk reduction measures, it is recommended to work while ensuring safety with a gas detection alarm. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
