The "hermetic connector" is a special class of defense/aerospace hermetic connector utilizing glass sealing technology and special airtight technology. Hermetic seal connectors are specified for use in a wide range of applications, including submarines and orbital satellites. They are employed to prevent moisture ingress in underground applications and are used in vacuum chambers, experimental devices, as well as in differential pressure environments in commercial and military aircraft.
