0302 Promoting the outflow of zinc stearate from the hopper.

Introducing a case of the Brodisk Mini adopted to promote outflow from the hopper.

This is a case from a business that manufactures sintered products. The hopper has a relatively gentle slope, and there were difficulties with outflow due to the small diameter of the discharge outlet. Since they expressed a desire to see the actual product first, we provided samples along with our advice. The selected model, "Blow Disk Mini," consumes less air, allowing us to control all units simultaneously with a single built-in solenoid valve in the controller for air ON/OFF. 【Overview】 ■ Powder type: Zinc stearate ■ Hopper ・ Diameter: 400φ ・ Discharge outlet diameter: 50φ ・ Hopper slope: Over 50° ■ Blow Disk model, arrangement, quantity ・ 4 units of Blow Disk Mini (BD-08S-B) installed in pairs at different heights * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous examples of implementations. 0107 Response to poor discharge from the hopper of the bulk bag filling device.

Case of a blow disk adopted for a hopper of a bulk filling device with unstable raw material discharge.

The raw materials are transported by air to the raw material hopper of the bulk bag filling device, and from the hopper, the materials are fed to the bulk bag using a table feeder and a screw feeder. In cases where the materials are being cut out, the raw materials became biased in one direction within the hopper, leading to unstable discharge of the materials. By installing four blow disks and using a controller with four solenoid valves, we solved the problem by sequentially aerating one location at a time. 【Overview】 ■ Hopper dimensions: 1400×1400 ■ Powder type: Fertilizer (final product) <Reference values for aeration sequence and time> ■ Solenoid valve 1: 3 seconds ON / several seconds OFF ■ Solenoid valve 2: 3 seconds ON / several seconds OFF ■ Solenoid valve 3: 3 seconds ON / several seconds OFF ■ Solenoid valve 4: 3 seconds ON / several seconds OFF After the above, set an interval time (several tens of seconds to several minutes) Repeat the above * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous case studies. 0134 Clearing the blockage of wet vermiculite raw material

Eliminate the shelf suspension and bridge phenomenon of raw materials! Solve problems with multiple placements.

This is a case where the shelf suspension and bridging phenomenon of raw materials frequently occurred in a vermiculite raw ore hopper (transport device). Although it is a square hopper, it has three sides that are narrowed, so we installed one "broad disk" on each side. One was placed near the discharge outlet on the central side, and the two on the side were installed 150mm above the one on the central side. As a result, the flow issues of the raw material particles were resolved, and the efficiency of the production site improved. 【Overview】 ■ Raw material size: several mm (scaly) ■ Moisture content: over 5% ■ Specific gravity: about 1g/cc ■ Hopper dimensions: 1000×1000 * For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. * Our website features numerous implementation examples, which can be checked via the link below.

0344 At a precious metal recycling factory

Solve the problem of the target powder not being discharged properly from the hopper of the powder handling equipment!

This is an example of a consultation regarding a situation where the target powder was not being discharged properly from the hopper of a powder handling device at a precious metal recycling facility. Although the powder is not particularly non-flowable, the insufficient slope to secure the hopper capacity led to discharge issues. Since it is a relatively small square hopper, we were able to resolve this trouble by installing one standard type "BD-15" blow disk on each side, for a total of four. 【Overview】 ■ Hopper size: 500×500 ■ Discharge diameter: 80A ■ Hopper slope: approximately 45° ■ Material size: around several hundred μm 【Product specifications, etc.】 ■ Blow disk BD-15S-W: 4 units ■ Controller C-SV4: 1 unit *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous case studies. 0449 Prevention of Flux Powder Residue

This is an introduction to a case where flux powder remains in a small hopper with a mixer.

This is an introduction to a case where a small hopper with a mixer has residual flux powder. The issue is the residue between the agitator along the cone section of the hopper and the inner wall of the hopper. (There is no bridging due to the effect of the mixer.) The Brody Disk Mini is very inexpensive and economical. Even if multiple units are installed, the costs are limited, providing excellent cost performance. 【Summary of Conditions】 ■ Hopper Diameter: 350φ ■ Sample: Flux (Average Particle Size: Approximately 5μm) <Product Specifications> ■ Brody Disk Mini: BD-08S-B, 8 units ■ Controller: C-SV1, 1 unit *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *Our website features numerous implementation examples. 0497 Solving the difficulty of discharging film crushing material.

The trouble was resolved quickly! After suggesting the installation of one unit on each side for the corner hopper, it was implemented.

We would like to introduce a case where we received inquiries about discharge troubles with a square hopper for crushed material. We confirmed the sample of the target material that you sent in small quantities. Based on our experience, we communicated that there were no significant concerns, and since it was a square hopper, we suggested installing one on each side, after which it was implemented. The troubles were resolved immediately. Thank you for your adoption. 【Case Overview】 ■ Target Material: Crushed material of 50μm film (approximately 3-5mm) ■ Situation (1) Crushed material was compressed and bridged (2) Material only fell directly downward from the discharge area, forming a rat hole ■ Hopper: 500×500 (manufactured by MATSUI, TA95) 【Key Points of Our Equipment】 ■ The elastic disk (silicone) is very important in terms of the risk of foreign material contamination, as well as strength and durability. The silicone disk of our equipment is exceptionally strong and durable. Once you use it, you will understand! ■ Control (how to aerate?) is crucial! We provide guidance on what should be done. We also have a dedicated controller prepared. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

0503 Heavy calcium carbonate - using a small hopper

Testing conducted by users! Introduction of cases where the Brodisk Mini and controller were implemented.

As a countermeasure for bridging in a small hopper, we received a request from the customer to borrow equipment for testing. Upon reviewing the hopper diagram, we determined that four Brody Disk Minis would be appropriate. However, when the Brody Disk Minis are installed on a flat surface (in this case, it is a corner hopper and installed flat), a high-pitched sound occurs. We informed them that if the air ON time is short, it would not be too bothersome, and proceeded with the test. The results were favorable, and they decided to introduce the Brody Disk Minis along with the controller. [Case Overview] ■ Subject: Heavy calcium carbonate (Product name: Micron Cal) ■ Hopper: 300×300 *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

0074 Powder measurement, bridge prevention for air transport hopper

Hitting with a stick and the hopper becoming uneven or the welds cracking due to impact have also been eliminated!

At a synthetic resin manufacturer, they are measuring powder using an air transport hopper, which also serves as a dust collector hopper. They experienced discharge issues with this hopper, and neither a knocker nor a vibrator was effective. Additionally, a wire mesh filter installed just above the discharge outlet was severely clogged, causing them trouble, which led them to consult us. They adopted the Brodydisk (installed in the regular hopper section) and the Brodydisk Mini (installed just above the discharge outlet), which resolved their issues. This user mentioned that, in addition to the current powder, they sometimes handle "very poorly flowing and highly adhesive troublesome fine powders," so they installed more Brodydisks than usual compared to typical cases. Since Brodydisks are inexpensive, installing multiple units does not impose a significant burden on the user. We have published numerous case studies on our website. You can check them out through the link below. Please feel free to contact us.
