In the supply hopper, the phenomenon of arching (bridging) occurred due to the balance of powder pressure. The customer initially installed multiple air knockers, but that did not resolve the issue, leading to their consultation. Since it is a square hopper, by simply installing two blow discs, one on each side, and with a minimal air ON time, the arching was eliminated. The greatest feature of the blow disc is that it injects air along the inner wall of the hopper. The powder pressure causes the powder to be pressed against the inner wall of the hopper, increasing the friction between the particles and the wall, which leads to the arching phenomenon; however, our product is very effective in addressing this issue. Case of a blow disk adopted for a hopper of a bulk filling device with unstable raw material discharge.

The raw materials are transported by air to the raw material hopper of the bulk bag filling device, and from the hopper, the materials are fed to the bulk bag using a table feeder and a screw feeder. In cases where the materials are being cut out, the raw materials became biased in one direction within the hopper, leading to unstable discharge of the materials. Although it is a square hopper, it has three sides that are narrowed, so we installed one "broad disk" on each side. One was placed near the discharge outlet on the central side, and the two on the side were installed 150mm above the one on the central side. This is an example of a consultation regarding a situation where the target powder was not being discharged properly from the hopper of a powder handling device at a precious metal recycling facility. Although the powder is not particularly non-flowable, the insufficient slope to secure the hopper capacity led to discharge issues.
