[Blog] Can RFID tags that are metal-compatible be read in any environment?
Recreating the actual office environment! A verification corner for inventorying company assets using RFID!
In the first round of testing, we found extreme results depending on where the tagged chairs were placed, with some being readable from 10 meters away while others could only be read from 2 meters. In the second round of testing, after placing tags in various locations on the chairs and scanning them, we concluded that to ensure readability regardless of where the tag is placed, one should choose "slightly more expensive metal-compatible tags" rather than "affordable metal-incompatible tags." The theme for this third round is "Are metal-compatible tags really invincible?" In previous tests, metal-compatible tags consistently produced stable results regardless of the material of the asset they were attached to. But is that really the case? Could there be instances where "despite being metal-compatible, they couldn't be scanned"? Therefore, we will conduct tests while recreating an actual office environment! You can read more in the related links. We encourage you to take a look.
