Introduction to laser technology for clean processing of resin-based materials (such as polyester and polyimide).

In general, the mainstream wavelength for laser processing of non-metals is 10.6μm. The lasers commonly used for "acrylic engraving" and "fine processing of paper" found online primarily correspond to this wavelength of 10.6μm. The equipment from Izumi Laser Co., Ltd. operates at a wavelength of 9μm, which is said to be more compatible with resin-based materials, particularly polyester and polyimide, compared to 10.6μm. The aforementioned general laser processing method often involves a plotter laser processing system where the beam is emitted from a nozzle, and the nozzle itself moves to create the desired shape.
