"Pad printing" is a printing method that uses an intaglio plate to transfer ink from the plate to a flexible silicone pad for a primary transfer, and then performs a secondary transfer onto the item being printed. It is capable of printing on secondary and tertiary curved surfaces, as well as on products with uneven surfaces. This method can also accommodate products that require high printing quality. Please feel free to consult us when you need assistance. 【Materials that can be used (partial list)】 ■ Various plastics ■ Metals ■ Food ■ Textile products ■ Leather products ■ Ceramics *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

[Printing Example] Rubber Ball

Choosing the right ink is very important! Here are examples of printing on materials that are difficult to adhere to.

Here is an example of printing on our rubber balls for dogs. Rubber is difficult to adhere to compared to plastic and metal, making ink selection very important. Additionally, materials like silicone and rubber are also considered challenging for adhesion. For materials that are known to be difficult to adhere to, we always request a prototype to be made and confirmed in advance. 【Case Overview】 ■Product: Rubber ball for dogs ■Method: Pad printing *For more details, please refer to the related links or feel free to contact us.

[Printing Example] Printing on Eggshells

Transfer the ink on the plate using a soft silicone pad! It's possible because it's pad printing!

Instead of printing on boiled eggs, which are typically associated with Easter eggs, we will introduce a case of printing on more challenging raw eggs. The printing method used is pad printing. It became possible because pad printing transfers ink from the plate using a soft silicone pad. Since eggs can crack under strong impact, we set conditions to minimize pressure while ensuring a clean print, allowing us to print beautifully without any cracks or breaks. 【Case Overview】 ■ Printed Item: Raw egg shell ■ Content: Pad printing - Conditions were set to minimize pressure while achieving a clean print. * The ink used is not edible ink. * For more details, please refer to the related link page or feel free to contact us.

[Printing Example] Pattern Printing on Cup Handle

By adding a slightly unconventional decoration, it is possible to create a product that is unique and catches the user's eye!

We received advice from the cup manufacturer that "printing the logo on the cup is common, so it would be interesting to do it on the handle," and we used pad printing technology to print a design on the cup's handle. The material of the cup is "recycled plastic (recycled PET resin)." It is well-suited for small quantity printing, making this type of printing easier. As a result, the top two diamond patterns are distorted, and due to the curved shape of the work, there is some stretching in the design. This time, we intentionally did not correct the stretching so you could see it, but it can be printed beautifully if properly corrected. [Case Overview] ■ Printed Item: Cup Handle ■ Printing Method: Pad Printing ■ Cup Material: Recycled Plastic (Recycled PET Resin) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

For items with a wide printing area or multiple colors, separate plates are used, and the process is completed in multiple steps. 【Printable Materials (Partial List)】 ■ Uneven materials ■ Iron (die-cast, pressed products, etc.) ■ Plastic ■ Aluminum ■ Stainless steel *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Pad printing that enables precise printing.

How fine of a print can pad printing achieve?

Pad printing is used for various types of printing, such as logos, characters, and displays. But what is the limit of line thickness? Please take a look at the image below! At first glance, it looks like an ordinary Navitas logo, but upon closer inspection, it is made up of small Navitas letters. The thinnest part of this line is an astonishing 0.04mm! This is the limit of fine lines in pad printing. Additionally, the accuracy of the plate making is ±0.01mm, which is very precise. Beautiful and clear printing is one of the strengths of pad printing.
