Casting X - A casting method using digital technology for large and small rod castings, for cost reduction, contact Tomotetsu Industry!!
FMC casting creates a foam model in the same shape as the product using expanded polystyrene, and produces the product by embedding the foam model in a sand mold and replacing it with molten metal. This process minimizes the occurrence of burrs and enables the creation of complex and high-precision products. For small lots, cost reduction is possible compared to the wooden pattern method. Cost reduction is also possible with original (steel substitute) materials.
FMC (Full Mold) Casting
Full mold casting involves creating a foam model in the same shape as the product using expanded polystyrene, and producing the product by embedding the foam model in a sand mold and replacing it with molten metal.
- Quality
1. Compared to wooden patterns, there are no burrs, and high-precision casting is possible.
2. It is possible to create complex and high-precision products.
- Cost
1. Even for complex shapes, modeling with 3D CAD results in fewer processes and high cost benefits.
2. It is possible to manufacture foam models by combining processed expanded polystyrene into multiple parts, even for complex shapes.
3. Compared to traditional wooden patterns, it is very advantageous in terms of production time and cost.
4. There is no need for wooden pattern storage, and maintenance due to deterioration is also unnecessary.
