Oil Absorbent / Soil Conditioner Oil Gator
Since there is no re-extraction of oil, it can prevent environmental pollution such as soil and groundwater contamination.
Oil absorbent/soil conditioner Oil Gator contains cotton cellulose (100% natural) along with a dozen types of bacteria and bacterial nutrients, making it highly oleophilic with excellent oil absorption capacity. The bacteria contained in Oil Gator primarily absorb and decompose mineral oils and animal and vegetable oils. It can be used to absorb and immobilize oil and floating oil that has spilled onto surfaces (both paved and unpaved) and structural floors. It has excellent retention capability, and the absorbed oil is fixed within the fibers, preventing re-leaching. It also absorbs volatile oils such as gasoline and suppresses evaporation, helping to prevent explosion accidents. After absorbing oil, it can be incinerated. Being made of natural cellulose, it places less burden on incinerators, and the residuals after incineration are extremely minimal. When disposed of in a landfill, the absorbed oil is decomposed into water and carbon dioxide by bacteria within 4 to 6 months. Additionally, the absorbent itself biodegrades within 6 to 10 months. It can also be applied to improve oil-contaminated soil and is suitable for the treatment of oil sludge. It is used for bioremediation of oil-contaminated soil in the U.S. petroleum industry and many other locations. For more details, please contact us or refer to the catalog.
