We would like to introduce a case where Martin Audio's 'TORUS' was installed at the long-established live house "ANTIKNOCK" in Shinjuku. The existing speakers were very large and designed for medium to long distances, which made the stage appear smaller. Additionally, there were concerns about the resolution of the bass during live performances. The solution was to introduce a simple combination of two main speakers from the series, the "T1215," and two subwoofers, the "SXCF118," on each side. The height of the setup was meticulously calculated, resulting in a configuration that was optimal in terms of both sound quality and size. The request was for a complete equal division with center cuts, but due to concerns about the retention rate of each part after cutting, a 90-degree opening cut was proposed. The separated side retained almost its original shape except for the cutting width (cut allowance, kerf width). However, even with the insertion of special stabilizing materials in the frame (unstable areas) and the magnet section to fill the gaps, there was still some impact on the interlayer and cutting surface near the cutting width (cut allowance, kerf width) due to the state of jet water flow diffusion after penetrating through the layers, resulting in a lack of clarity and a completely vertical surface.
