40kHz ultrasonic homogenizer

The Branson ultrasonic homogenizer Sonifier SFX series enables more advanced liquid processing in the lab.

The efficiency of converting electrical energy into ultrasonic vibrations is over 95%, resulting in no energy loss due to heat generation within the converter, and allowing for consistently stable amplitude vibrations at the tip of the horn or chip. Additionally, maximum ultrasonic vibrations can be achieved with low power consumption, enabling efficient sample processing. The Sonifier SFX series allows for reliable quantification of energy consumption in joules (J). It is an ideal model for processing small samples such as test tubes and sample bottles. The standard titanium alloy tip is approximately 15 cm long, with tip diameters available in 3/32" (2.4 mm), 1/8" (3.2 mm), and 1/4" (6.4 mm). Compared to 20 kHz, 40 kHz aims to improve "reduction of dispersion time and uniformity of particle size" by doubling the number of vibrations. Furthermore, high effectiveness can be achieved even when dispersing substances with different particle sizes in the same solvent.

Homogenizer-related products catalog

Featuring ultrasonic homogenizers specialized for low-output models for trace samples and high-output models for lab-scale applications!

The ultrasonic homogenizer generates countless vacuum bubbles when the probe vibrates in the liquid. When these bubbles burst, the intense pressure waves crush the particles contained in the liquid. This effect is called cavitation and can achieve fine particle sizes down to the nano level. In this catalog, we introduce the ultrasonic homogenizer "VC-50PB," which is recommended for processing small sample volumes in a short time, as well as high-output lab-scale models such as "VC-505," "VCX-500," and "VCX-750." [Contents (excerpt)] - Homogenizer selection guide - Ultrasonic homogenizer VC-50PB - Ultrasonic homogenizers VCX-130, VCX-130PB - Accessories for VCX-130/VCX-130PB *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

The principle of an ultrasonic homogenizer.

Utilizing the power of cavitation! A detailed introduction to the principles of ultrasonic homogenizers!

The "Ultrasonic Homogenizer" is a device that operates in unseen places by reducing and homogenizing existing materials to create small, high-quality products. The vibrating element generates longitudinal vibrations at approximately 20 kHz, or 20,000 times per second. When this vibration occurs in a liquid, if we imagine one vibration, a "vacuum bubble" forms in the liquid when the chip surface is reduced, and when the chip surface is expanded, that bubble becomes pressurized and collapses. The shock force generated when this bubble collapses is called cavitation. Ultrasonic vibrations utilize the power of this cavitation to perform processes such as "emulsification and dispersion." Emulsification and Dispersion: <Ultrasonic Homogenizer>

Uniforming particles! Ultrasonic vibrations utilize the power of cavitation to perform emulsification, dispersion, and more.

"Emulsification" refers to the temporary mixing of two immiscible liquids (such as water and oil) when subjected to vibration, with common examples being dressings. The state of being emulsified is called an emulsion. Familiar examples include milk (with oil droplets floating in water) and butter (with water droplets floating in oil). "Dispersion," on the other hand, means breaking down larger particles in a liquid into smaller, uniform sizes. The particles introduced into the liquid tend to clump together, forming larger particles. A major function of ultrasound is to break apart these clumped particles and ensure they are of uniform size. [Overview] - Immediately after particles are added to a liquid, they tend to clump together. - When subjected to an ultrasonic homogenizer, the clumped particles are broken apart and become finer. - The dispersed and uniform particles are utilized in various products. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
