Utilizing hot spring (drainage) heat! This is a case that simultaneously reduces annual fossil fuel usage and CO2 emissions.

At the fairy tale inn, Yoneya, we have introduced a "high-efficiency heat pump utilizing hot spring discharge heat" as part of our energy-saving project. At Yoneya, we implemented a project that utilizes hot spring (discharge) heat, classified as one of the renewable energy sources known as "geothermal heat," to provide heating, cooling, and hot water through a heat pump. This project simultaneously reduced the facility's annual fossil fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Unused heat recovery heat exchange unit "G-HEX"

The corrosion- and dirt-resistant resin water heat exchanger "G-HEX" captures the thermal energy from agricultural water and factory wastewater, utilizing it for heating and cooling.

Well water, agricultural water, spring water, hot spring water, seawater (seawater wells), and factory wastewater contain unused thermal energy (renewable energy). We have developed a heat exchange unit (G-HEX) through the NEDO project that can extract this energy and utilize it in a cascade for heating and cooling. G-HEX is a fully plastic heat exchanger made using polyethylene thin tubes, allowing it to accommodate various heat source waters. It is a long-lasting heat exchange unit that is resistant to corrosion and dirt.
