The sleeve (hard turning process) is a component that guides the outer part of the section where the measuring terminal moves. A cylindrical tolerance of 2 microns for the inner diameter is required to enable precise measurements. The material is stainless steel 440C, hardened to HRC60 or above through vacuum hardening. After heat treatment, the outer diameter is first finished using centerless grinding. With an outer diameter of 7mm and a dimensional tolerance of 12 microns, coaxiality between the inner and outer diameters requires 4 microns, so the inner diameter is processed based on the outer diameter after finishing it.
