Shape optimization of the rear wing using sensitivity analysis.
The parametric model is created in CAESES, and the adjoint solutions obtained from the commercial CFD tool are mapped to the design variables!
In this case study, we conducted optimization regarding the drag and downforce (negative lift generated by a moving vehicle) of a sports car's rear wing. For this optimization, a parametric model of the rear wing was created using CAESES, and the adjoint solutions obtained from a commercial CFD tool were mapped to the design variables. *For more details, you can view the related links.
