A φ2, 90° tapered hole was drilled into the end face of a round bar made of ultra-fine particle super hard alloy, Sumitomo A1 (HRA91.4). This time, a diamond-coated tool from Union Tool was used. Compared to the finish of an electroplated tool, the surface is finished quite beautifully.
