High-precision free-form surface grinding machine SFS - Introduction to in-machine measurement function

Achieving high-precision processing by utilizing submicron-level repetitive measurement technology!

◇In-machine measurement function This function uses a touch probe on the tool table to measure the dimensions of the workpiece's R, taper, and straight shapes after processing within the machine. By repeating processing and measurement, it achieves machining with strict tolerances. As a feature of Seibu Electric, the combination of the machine's high positioning accuracy and high-precision touch probe enables high-precision machining. The minimum command unit for the X and Z axes of the high-precision free-form internal grinding machine SFG is 0.01μm (fully closed control). Both the work spindle and grinding wheel spindle are equipped with high-precision ceramic bearings, achieving high rigidity and high rotational accuracy. A constant temperature device is standard equipment, and special thermal countermeasures have been applied to various parts such as slides and spindles to ensure thermal stability.
