Measuring load sway of overhead cranes to avoid danger? Position correction with lasers.

Don't you feel the need to understand the sway of suspended loads with a ceiling crane to avoid danger? The position information is measured with a laser distance sensor.

Do you have experience with the danger of swinging loads when transporting heavy objects over a distance of 50-100 meters? For long-distance movement, we are proposing an option to add a swinging load sensor to a system that uses a laser distance sensor to measure position information and position the crane. The measurement accuracy is 1mm, the repeatability is 0.3mm, the measurement speed is 250Hz (fastest), and the operating temperature is -40°C and above, ensuring sufficient positioning accuracy with crane motor control. This also eliminates the need for a slipping prevention mechanism, resulting in a cost-effective system. This laser distance sensor will be useful for transporting heavy objects. Our company provides comprehensive technical support, including usage instructions, implementation, control software development, and post-installation support. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact us. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to reach out to us.

Measurement of the cross-section inside the Seikan Tunnel using Dimetix laser distance sensors.

In early December 2022, under the supervision of the Railway and Transport Agency and the Railway Technical Research Institute, a joint measurement of the cross-section of the Seikan Tunnel was conducted with JR East Engineering.

The setting is within a point group interval of 10 mm, and measurements were taken at a total of four cross-sections (a total of 33 side lines). The reason for using the Dimetix laser distance sensor in this measurement is as follows: 1) Measurement accuracy is within ±1 mm. 2) It has an insulated structure that does not short-circuit the track. 3) It operates on a rechargeable battery. 4) It is easily portable by hand. Our company provides comprehensive technical support, including usage instructions, installation, control software development, and post-installation support. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact us. [Features] ■ High-speed measurement achieving 250 Hz ■ 100 m measurement (500 m when using a dedicated reflector) ■ Compact and lightweight at 350 g (140 x 78 x 48 mm) ■ Operating temperature range -40°C to +60°C ■ Compatible with various interfaces (PROFINET/EtherNet/EtherCAT) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us. *The old series of our non-contact laser distance sensors (DLS-C FLS-C series) has been discontinued as stock has run out.

Using a small laser distance sensor "D series" for measuring the subsidence of the vent.

When placing beams using the bent method, a small 1mm precision laser distance sensor is suitable for measuring subsidence. It measures the distance from the bent to the ground.

Features - Proven track record mainly in newly constructed steel road bridges - If the amount of subsidence exceeds the management value, a rotating light will issue a real-time alarm, allowing for decisions such as temporary work suspension - Traditionally, a surveying instrument called a "total station" was placed on the ground to measure prisms attached to the vent, but this compact laser distance sensor can be mounted directly on the vent - It can measure the distance to the ground with high precision (±1mm) and high-speed response (up to 250Hz) without prisms and contact, enabling more stable subsidence measurement while simplifying the equipment - Real-time measurement of subsidence due to the load on the girder is possible - Easy installation and the use of a non-contact laser distance sensor means no specialized knowledge is required for operation - The system can be built to upload data to the cloud, allowing monitoring from anywhere Our company provides comprehensive support for usage, implementation, control software development, and technical assistance. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact us. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Over 20 years of domestic experience: Laser distance sensor that can be retrofitted to overhead cranes.

When transporting heavy objects, position information is measured and controlled using a retrofitted laser distance sensor on the overhead crane for positioning along the X-axis/Y-axis within 50-100 meters.

A system can be established to transport heavy objects over a distance of 50-100 meters using the existing overhead crane, with an additional laser distance sensor installed to place heavy objects in specific locations. By installing laser distance sensors on the X and Y axes, positioning with an accuracy of ±1 mm becomes possible, allowing for movement to certain designated locations. By also installing on the Z axis, height control can be achieved, significantly improving efficiency. It operates from -40°C, making it suitable for use in cold storage warehouses. The measurement accuracy is 1 mm, with a repeatability of 0.3 mm and a measurement speed of 250 Hz (fastest), and the operating temperature ranges from -40°C. This ensures sufficient positioning accuracy through crane motor control. There is no need for mechanisms to reduce slipping, resulting in a cost-effective system. This laser distance sensor is useful for transporting heavy objects and for use in cold storage warehouses. Our company provides comprehensive technical support, including usage instructions, implementation, control software development, and post-installation support. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact us. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to reach out to us.*

By leveraging the high response capability of the laser distance sensor (up to 250 data points per second), the health of the shoe (bearing) can be determined.

Features - A system for dynamically measuring instantaneous values during vehicle operation, as well as the deflection of railway bridges and heavily trafficked bridge girders. - High response rate (up to 250Hz), allowing for precise monitoring of the movements of steel bridges (sinking, rebounding, and oscillation) during vehicle passage. - Installed directly beneath or diagonally below the girder, continuously measuring the distance to the girder during vehicle passage to calculate deflection. - Easy installation and the use of non-contact laser distance meters, eliminating the need for extensive preparations or traffic regulations, is a significant advantage. - If the target object is black and insufficient reflection is obtained, reflective stickers can be used. - Proven track record of use for both long-term and short-term applications on steel bridges, concrete bridges, roads, and railways. - If the displacement exceeds the management value, a rotating light provides a real-time alarm, allowing for decisions such as temporary work suspension. Our company offers comprehensive support for usage, installation, control software development, and technical assistance. High-precision laser distance sensors for early detection of ceiling deformation in tunnels with beams.

By using high-precision laser distance sensors for the early detection of ceiling deformations in tunnels with beams, the number of total stations can be reduced.

As part of the construction work at the main station in Bern, the capital of Switzerland, we received an inquiry from a certain engineering office. Objective: Early detection of ceiling deformation in tunnels with beams In a typical tunnel, a fixed total station is used to regularly measure the positions of numerous reflective prisms installed on the tunnel ceiling. However, in tunnels where beams are installed between the ground and the ceiling, visibility is restricted, requiring more total stations than usual. Solution: Implement a two-step measurement method Step 1: Use our laser distance sensor to measure the distance between the beams and the tunnel ceiling. Step 2: Use a total station to measure the position of the ceiling beams. By simultaneously utilizing a distance measuring sensor for the challenging measurements from the beams to the ceiling, we were able to monitor 20 tunnel cross-sections with just 4 total stations instead of the usual 20, resulting in significant cost savings. The project was quickly realized thanks to the specialized support from the manufacturer.
