The water tank used was made from a drum that had been utilized during fire training, and it was quite rusty both inside and out. During the test, the rust inside the tank (drum) caused the water to become red and murky, making the bottom invisible. However, after the test, the rust on the inner walls and bottom that had been in contact with Polar water was completely removed. It is worth noting that the upper 10 cm section of the inner wall, which did not come into contact with Polar water, remained unchanged from before the test. On October 24, 2000, a polar type "PI-25CF" was installed on the spray pipe of the cooling tower using a partial bypass method, and automatic blow management was conducted without chemicals at the conventional electrical conductivity of 60 ms/m.
