Matex Co.,Ltd. and Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. have jointly developed the "HECY Series" Reducer using lightweight, high-strength plastics. Leveraging Sumitomo Heavy Industries' expertise in precision control reduction gears for industrial robots and Matex's production technology for plastic injection molded reduction gears, we have achieved both a significant weight reduction and high precision by using lightweight, high strength super engineering plastics for the main components. The plastic parts are produced using injection molding machines, meaning the "HECY Series" boasts low production costs. The Matex Low Backlash Planetary Gear Module features minimal backlash compared to our standard products. Therefore, it is extremely well-suited to applications that require higher precision, such as collaborative robots and electric mobility vehicles. A main bearing is incorporated into the unit, allowing it to be used in a standalone configuration. Additionally, it maintains the high efficiency of our other models and has excellent backdrivability.
