Countermeasures for radiation immunity testing using a small loop antenna.
[Application Example] Radiation Immunity Test Measures Using a Small Loop Antenna
Our company can conduct a simple "radiated immunity test" at frequencies from 80MHz to 500MHz with a field strength of 30V/m for pre-evaluation before bringing the Equipment Under Test (EUT) to the EMC test site, as well as for evaluating the effectiveness of countermeasures. To perform the radiated immunity test at low frequencies of 80MHz to 500MHz with a strong electric field of 30V/m, we use a very confined space known as a shielded box, compared to an anechoic chamber, by placing a small loop antenna close to the EUT (within ~5cm). [Test Procedure] [Calibration] 1) Set up the electric field probe at the EUT installation position for calibration. 2) Adjust the level of the signal generator to achieve the desired electric field strength. 3) Determine the level of the signal generator. [Test] 1) Install the EUT and set it to the level determined during calibration. 2) Conduct tests to check if the EUT malfunctions. 3) Repeat the test while moving the antenna up, down, left, and right. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
