Back Number [November 2022 Newsletter] Introduction of Railway Vehicle Window Surround Products

Although there are still few examples of product implementation for railway vehicles, we offer functional and highly designed products.

1. Products for Front Windshields This is a pantograph-style roll screen that can be installed at an angle on the front windshield. When not in use, it can be rolled up, ensuring that it does not obstruct the driver's view. The previously required wire specifications and guide rails on the sides of the product are no longer necessary, resulting in a tidy driver's seat when rolled up. 2. Products for Passenger Windows 'Slow Stop Roll Screen' The roll screen features a slow stop function that automatically applies brakes when stored, reducing the bothersome "clank" sound. This function helps alleviate customer discomfort. 'Electric Roll Screen' Height settings can be adjusted with a switch, allowing for simultaneous operation of the curtains, which reduces labor. Since height adjustments can be made with a switch, there is no need to remove the window casing for adjustments, making it easy to set up and highly maintainable. 'Curtain Rail for Wave Curtains' This is a new style that replaces pleated curtains. It comes with a pitch keep cord, allowing flat curtains to create beautiful wave curtains.

Back Issue [December 2022 Newsletter] Rollscreen in Such a Place

We will introduce examples of how roller screens are used in places like this.

Usage Example 1: Roll Screens for Refrigerated Showcases Have you ever seen roll screens like these in a supermarket just before closing time? They help reduce the leakage of cold air at night, contributing to energy savings. Usage Example 2: Roll Screens for Industrial Racks When you want to easily conceal something or hide it during visitor times, installing a roll screen will keep the appearance neat and tidy. It's also easy and convenient to roll up the screen when you need to access items. Usage Example 3: Roll Screens for Capsule Hotels With the recovery of inbound demand, capsule hotels are gaining attention again. Roll screens are also used as partitions and for privacy at the entrance. If you stay at a capsule hotel during your travels, be sure to check if they have roll screens. Usage Example 4: Roll Screens for Tourist Buses With the recovery of inbound demand, we are likely to see more tourist buses in the city. On large tourist buses, roll screens serve as sun visors to prevent glare for passengers seated on the upper deck!

Back number [October 2023 Newsletter] TOSO products are also for railway vehicles.

In November, a railway technology exhibition will be held in Chiba Prefecture, and this time I would like to introduce products related to window areas that we would like you to consider for railway vehicles.

The standard options for train window surroundings are pleated curtains and roll screens. However, with the recovery of inbound demand, we propose the following products that subtly enhance the view from the window: 1. Wave Style The wave style is a design that does not have pleats, allowing for a straightforward expression of the fabric's design. Unlike pleated curtains, it is a visually appealing product that takes advantage of the fabric's inherent softness and texture. 2. Electric Roll Screen Recently, we have seen successful installations in railway vehicles, and these screens can be easily opened and closed with a switch. While manual operation may require touching the screen, the electric version allows for clean use without touching the screen. In residential settings, it can be operated with a smart remote, and in the near future, there may even be a possibility of train roll screens being operated via QR code scanning with a mobile phone. 3. Roll Screen for the Driver's Seat This is a pantograph-style roll screen that can be installed on the slope of the front windshield. It has been successfully used in tourist buses, among other applications. When not in use, it can be rolled up, ensuring that it does not obstruct the driver's view and keeps the driver's seat window clear.

Back Number [October 2024 Newsletter] Roller Screen Examples Other Than Windows

Recently, there has been an increase in the use of roll screens instead of traditional fixtures. Here are some ideas for using roll screens in places other than windows.

1. Used as a partition for stairs By installing it at the top of the stairs on the second floor or at the bottom of the stairs on the first floor, you can improve the efficiency of heating and cooling in summer and winter. This can also lead to reduced electricity costs, achieving an eco-friendly lifestyle. When combined with "Colt," which is easy to match with wallpaper colors, it can minimize the prominence of the roll screen. 2. Used instead of closet doors By replacing closet doors with a roll screen, ventilation improves, and it helps with moisture control. Since the roll screen rolls up at the top, it does not require space for opening and closing doors, leading to more effective use of space. 3. Used as a privacy screen By covering areas where necessary items are located, such as washing machines, closets, or children's play areas, with a roll screen, you can smartly hide parts that create noise in the interior. It maintains a sophisticated impression without excessive signs of daily life, creating a stylish and functional living space. 4. Ideas for use as a partition or privacy screen (see photos) 5. Also for industrial material applications So far, we have introduced examples of use in residential settings, but of course, there are also examples of use outside of windows for industrial material applications, which we will introduce.

Back Number [February 2025 Newsletter] Introduction of Anti-Glare Roll

Introducing an anti-glare film roll screen that enhances visibility with minimal reflection, even in bright surroundings.

Anti-glare refers to surface treatments or coatings that make it difficult for light to be reflected. Common examples include applications on LCD screens, glass, and smartphone films. Features of anti-glare film: 1. Suppresses ultraviolet and infrared rays It can reduce ultraviolet and infrared rays by about 95%, thereby mitigating sunlight. 2. Ensures visibility Unlike typical blackout fabrics, it achieves the contradictory performance of suppressing sunlight while maintaining visibility. 3. Reduces temperature rise due to heat shielding effect Experimental data can be downloaded from the Ipros heat-shielding film roller screen. Reasons to choose a roller screen: 1. It can be lowered when in use and raised when not in use. 2. No adhesive application is required, and it can be used immediately after installing the roller screen itself.
